Federal Engineering Awarded Multi-Year Utilities Consulting Contract by Fisher & Arnold

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, May 11, 2015 — Fisher & Arnold, Inc. has awarded Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) a multi-year contract in support of its architect -engineer services agreement with the Southwestern Power Administration of the Department of Energy. Under this contract, FE will provide consulting services for the planning, design, and implementation of additions or modifications to the Administration’s telecommunications systems.

Ronald F. Bosco, Federal Engineering’s President, stated: “FE involvement will span a wide range of projects including:

  • Sonet, digital microwave and fiber optics system enhancements
  • Local Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) planning in support of power system operations including voice communication
  • Mobile radio system upgrades
  • Frequency and spectrum planning
  • Microwave path profile analysis
  • Mobile radio system coverage analysis
  • Communication tower analysis and design
  • Leased and dial-up telephone lines ordering specifications
  • Physical security enhancements

FE will assist the Government in construction management and performing construction inspection services as needed.”
