In announcing the contract, Mr. Jeffrey Paré, FE Senior Account Executive, provided an overview: “Federal Engineering is honored to have been chosen for this important project. District citizens, like those throughout the country, rely heavily on 911 services. It is in the best interest of all jurisdictions to periodically assess the effectiveness of their 911 services. Our audit of OUC will evaluate the effectiveness of their 911 Operations Division against national standards by reviewing 911 call history, evaluating culture and training, reviewing technological capabilities, and reviewing OUC’s internal investigations of past incidents. We will prepare a report documenting our conclusions for the Office of the District of Columbia Auditor.”

D.C. Auditor Kathleen Patterson said: “We selected Federal Engineering to conduct the audit through an open RFP process. Federal Engineering was selected from among four proposals as the most capable firm with 38 years of experience and more than 2,000 projects successfully completed across all 50 states.
