Pulaski County Chooses Federal Engineering for PSAP Audit Review

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, October 23, 2017 — The Pulaski County, Missouri 911 Communications Center Board has selected Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) for an operations assessment and technology audit of the County’s Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).

Ronald F. Bosco, FE’s President and CEO, described the project: “FE will review existing operations, staffing, hiring practices, training, policies, and procedures to get a clear picture of the current Pulaski County operational environment. The review will include the current organizational structure, governance, staffing numbers and classifications, call processing, dispatch methodology, call volumes (9-1-1 and administrative calls), and event volumes. FE utilizes industry best practices and standards in its review including the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Guide 361; the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Section 70 and 1221; CALEA, APCO, and NENA.”

Mr. Bosco continued: “FE will assess the County’s current 9-1- 1 technology environment and identify any deficiencies as well as unmet requirements. Areas to be assessed include the network infrastructure, hardware systems, software and licensing agreements, existing system services, and expansion capabilities. FE will provide the Pulaski County 9-1-1 Communications Center Board with a report that addresses information gathered during interviews, meetings, on-site observation, and discussions with stakeholders. FE will also identify the current systems and their operational readiness with descriptions of deficiencies and unmet requirements explaining the need for change, modification, or replacement. We will meet with the Pulaski County 9-1-1 Communications Center Board and present our findings to assure they meet the Center’s expectations.”
