FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, November 11, 2019 — Mr. Neil Horden, Chief Consultant of Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE), has been reelected to the NG9-1-1 Institute’s Board of Directors for one of the “Member at Large” positions. Mr. Horden will be entering his second term as a board member, which will run through 2021. Mr. Horden commented he is “very proud to be invited back to support such an important organization and their critical mission.”

The Board of Directors oversees the NG9-1-1 Institute’s operations and is comprised of fifteen members. The members represent various sectors of the 9-1-1 ecosystem. The NG9-1-1 Institute continues to be an educational resource to the Congressional NextGen 9-1-1 Caucus on issues important to the effective operation and advancement of NG9-1-1 services and systems. The Institute works to educate Congressional Members and their staff on factors that may impact timely and effective NG9-1-1 implementation. The objective is to advance the rapid implementation of NG9-1-1 in order to promote more effective emergency response, improve public safety, and advance national security interests.

Mr. Horden is a member of the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and the Radio Club of America (RCA). He serves on the Board of Directors of the Project 25 Technology Interest Group (PTIG), the Editorial Advisory Board of Mission Critical Communications magazine, and the APCO Commercial Advisory Council.
