Mesa Awards Federal Engineering Radio Tower Consulting Contract

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, November 18, 2019 — The City of Mesa, Arizona has awarded Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) a contract to assess the County’s public safety mobile radio system and recommend additional sites to improve coverage.

Mr. Rajit Jhaver, FE Director, described the project: “Federal Engineering will review and evaluate two TOPAZ Regional Wireless Cooperative (TRWC) radio systems. These systems are the 800Mhz P25 simulcast system consisting of nine simulcast subsites and the VHF simplex simulcast radio system used for fire hazard zone operations throughout the TRWC coverage area consisting of eight simulcast TX /RX sites and four RX only sites. We will make recommendations for modifications to existing sites or addition of new sites to improve existing coverage and to address the continued expansion of the TRWC boundaries. FE will also provide additional consulting services as required by the county to implement the improvements.”
