Hanover County Awards Federal Engineering Communications Systems Consulting Contract
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, November 14, 2012 — Hanover County, VA has selected Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) to provide consulting services for public safety and private sector communications systems and solutions throughout the County.
Ronald F. Bosco, FE’s President, described the contract: “Hanover County has awarded Federal Engineering a term contract to review future plans and developments in the County as related to communication towers and communication systems. Services will include technical support for the operation, maintenance, design, and upgrade of the County’s Public Agency/Public Safety Communications Systems. FE will support entire project lifecycles from the initial needs assessment phase through installation and commissioning. This support will be provided on an as needed basis for project studies anywhere within Hanover or those jurisdictions receiving communications services from Hanover County. In addition, communication tower co-location applications will be reviewed including conditional use permit applications, Comprehensive Plan Amendment applications, site and plans.”

Shaffer, Director of Emergency Communications for Hanover County stated: “Federal Engineering was selected as a result of their superior proposal and the firm’s experience in the Commonwealth of Virginia. FE has been supporting first responders for almost 30 years. More specifically, they have successfully completed public safety communications projects throughout our region and understand our unique needs and circumstances.
