Federal Engineering to Participate at the 2017 Virginia NENA-APCO Spring Conference

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, April 17, 2017 — Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) has announced the participation of Chief Consultant, Neil Horden in the 2017 Virginia NENA-APCO Spring Conference. The conference will be held on May 3-5, 2017 at the Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel.

FE’s President and CEO, Ronald F. Bosco stated; “Federal Engineering continues its support of public safety conferences across the nation. Our subject matter experts have been asked to present topics at the APCO Western Regional Conference & Exposition, International Wireless Communications Expo, and NENA Annual Conference. As a Virginia firm with a long history working with numerous jurisdictions in the Commonwealth, we have insights that are particularly relevant to this year’s Virginia NENA-APCO Spring Conference. For example, the procurement of a communications or dispatch systems requires a broad set of skills going beyond the technologies involved. FE has provided staff with those skills to support our clients in achieving contracts that are beneficial to all parties involved.”

Mr. Bosco continued: “Mr. Horden will be passing on the knowledge learned over billions of dollars in procurements. His presentation, entitled Successful Contract Negotiations, is an introduction to the process of managing contract negotiations for the procurement of a communications system to achieve a positive outcome. The session will be held on May 4th, at 9:15 AM.”

Mr. Horden is a recognized industry expert with significant experience in public safety communications system procurement. He serves as Chief Consultant of Federal Engineering’s consulting practice. Neil is a 34-year veteran of the wireless communications industry and began his career with Federal Engineering in 2004. Mr. Horden is a member of APCO and serves on their Commercial Advisory Council. He is also a member of NENA, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and the Radio Club of America (RCA). Mr. Horden serves on MissionCritical Communications magazine’s editorial advisory board. He presents regularly at APCO and NENA national and regional conferences, as well as the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE).
