Federal Engineering Selected By Harford County For Open Ended IT Services Contract
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, May 18, 2012 — Harford County, Maryland has selected Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) for an open ended information technology service contract. Under this agreement, FE can provide project specific consulting and technical services as well staff augmentation services supplying personnel with specific skill sets.
Ms. Deborah L. Henderson, Director of Procurement for Harford County, stated: “We are always looking for more efficient ways of serving the citizens of Harford County. This Open Ended IT Services Contract provides a convenient framework to rapidly respond to ad-hoc, short-term consulting needs using an existing competitive procurement vehicle.”
Ronald F. Bosco, FE’s President, described the contract: “Federal Engineering has been selected to provide the following:
- Information technology management consulting services
- Radio communications systems consulting services for fixed infrastructure and subscriber units
- Radio communications systems consulting services for terrestrial microwave and fiber optics
For task oriented engagements, the County will develop a scope of work. FE will respond with a proposal that describes the services to be provided, assumptions, an applicable project plan, schedules, description of deliverables, and the roles and responsibilities of the parties. For supplemental staff, the County will determine the labor category and the estimated hours and FE will respond with the appropriate individual.”
