Federal Engineering Chosen by the City of Ventura for Land Mobile Radio Consulting
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, February 19, 2024 – The City of Ventura, California has entered into an agreement with Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) to develop and deliver a Needs Assessment and Alternative Analysis Report for the City’s Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems. FE is also tasked with providing procurement and implementation support services to the City, as they proceed to join Ventura County’s Motorola 700/800 MHz Project 25 (P25) Phase 2 system.
Chief Technology Officer for the City, Mitchell Cameron, expressed his enthusiasm about the project: “Federal Engineering (FE) has been selected to develop the Functional Specifications for the City’s initiative to integrate with the Ventura County system. They will meticulously outline the functional and performance requirements for the design, construction, and testing of the land mobile radio system. This detailed specification will serve as a foundation for comprehensive proposals from qualified vendors.”
