GSA Contract Available To Federal, State, And Local Governments

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, January 23, 2012 — The U.S. General Services Administration has awarded Federal Engineering, Inc. ( FE) contract number GS-35F-0159Y under GSA Schedule 70, Solicitation Number FCIS-JB-980001-B. Under this contract, FE can provide a variety of telecommunications and information technology consulting services to clients with no maximum limit to the order value.

Mr. Ronald F. Bosco, the firm’s President stated: “Federal Engineering has joined the ranks of the elite IT Schedule 70 Contract Holders. Schedule 70 (General Purpose Commercial Information Technology Equipment, Software and Services) provides a convenient mechanism for Federal Government agencies and departments to retain the services of Federal Engineering thereby avoiding the costly and time consuming RFP (request for proposal) process. State, county, and local governments can also purchase FE services in a streamlined, efficient, and cost-effective manner using the GSA contract.”

Mr. Bosco went on to explain: “Section 211 of the E-Government Act of 2002 amended the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act to allow for “Cooperative Purchasing.” Under the Cooperative Purchasing Program, state, county, and local government entities may purchase Information Technology products, software, and services from contracts awarded under GSA Federal Supply Schedule 70. The GSA is encouraging state, county, and local governments to avail themselves of this benefit.”

Federal Engineering provides a wide range of information technology, wireless, and land mobile radio analysis, design, procurement support, and implementation management services. FE specializes in government telecommunications, public safety, public service, transportation, and energy organizations.
