Federal Engineering Chosen By Collierville For Public Radio System Consulting

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, August 22, 2011 — The Town of Collierville, Tennessee has chosen Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) as its communications consultant for the Town’s public radio system.

Lt. David Townsend of the Collierville Police Department stated: “The Town issued a Request for Proposals soliciting responses from a wide range of consulting firms. Federal Engineering was chosen due to the firm’s proposal and the responses of FE’s references. We are looking forward to working with FE’s consultants to move public safety communications forward for Collierville.”

Mr. Ronald F. Bosco provided an overview: “This program is will be accomplished in two phases:

  • Phase 1 – Assess Existing Systems, Make Recommendations for Improvements, and Support Procurement
    • Needs assessment
    • Site surveys
    • Coverage analysis
    • Design recommendations
    • Project cost analysis
    • RFP development and proposal evaluations
  • Phase 2 – Oversight, Management, and Inspection of the Selected Bidder
    • Program management
    • Design reviews
    • Site inspections
    • Factory, site, and system testing
    • Independent validation and verification

Essentially, Federal Engineering will support Collierville through cut-over of the new system.”
