Central County Emergency 9-1-1 Selects Federal Engineering for Public Safety Answering Point Consulting

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, January 3, 2022 – The Central County Emergency 9-1-1 (CCE911) in Ellisville, Missouri has Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) to assist in the development of a backup Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP).

Mr. Jason Nettles, Executive Director of CCE911 said: “CCE911 currently maintains a backup PSAP facility at the Metro West Fire Protection District, Station 3. The intent of this project is to move the necessary infrastructure and establish new backup operations at the St. Louis County Backup Emergency Operations Center. We selected Federal Engineering to assist us with this project because the firm has experience and knowledge of PSAP day to day operations. FE also has strong background in radio, telephony, networking, and CAD technologies as well as FCC licensing, APCO, NENA and NFPA codes and standards. FE’s proposal demonstrated strong project management experience which will be necessary for the successful completion of this project.”

Mr. Jeffrey Paré, Senior Account Executive for Federal Engineering, described the project: “FE will become thoroughly informed regarding the CCE911 environment by conducting interviews with stakeholders and performing on-site visits to each of the facilities, equipment rooms, and radio and tower sites. FE will collect data related to the project, determine the feasibility of the move, and develop a plan for managing the migration. FE’s recommendations will consider current standards as well as national, state and local procedures.”
