FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, February 16, 2012 — Bowling Green Municipal Utilities (BGMU), located in Bowling Green, Kentucky, has successfully completed, system with the assistance of Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE), the upgrade of its land mobile radio. Throughout this project, FE provided a wide range of services including user needs assessments, infrastructure analysis, coverage analysis, system design, procurement assistance, and implementation support.

Mrs. Kathleen Duvall, Technical Services Supervisor for BGMU stated: “A new era in land mobile radio communications was reached on January 25, 2012 when Bowling Green Municipal Utilities transferred all of our radio users to a new 800 MHz P25 Phase 2 radio system. This state-of-the -art digital system is one of the first P25 Phase 2 systems to go live in the United States and we are excited to be on the leading edge of this new technology.” Mrs. Duvall continued: “Federal Engineering performed an outstanding job for us and carefully guided this project from start to system acceptance. We enjoyed a great working relationship with their team and we appreciate all their support and the expertise they provided throughout.”
