FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, August 7, 2017 — The Henry County, Illinois ETSB has awarded Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) a contract to provide 911 Consolidation Feasibility Consulting Services to assist with Henry County’s Enhanced 9-1-1 needs.
Mr. Jon R. Cremeens, Director of Henry County 911 said: “The ETSB is considering a potential consolidation of our PSAPs. Federal Engineering was chosen based upon their superior proposal and decades of FE/Kimball experience with similar projects.”
Ronald F. Bosco, FE’s President and CEO, provided an overview of the project: “FE/Kimball will meet with the ETSB and three PSAP Managers within the County to discuss their needs and conduct facility assessments of the communication centers. These assessments will include a review of the following:
- Work space optimization and furniture ergonomics
- Workload by time of day, day of week, and month of year to determine peak volumes for 9-1-1 calls and field initiated activities
- Workload distribution of current communication centers
- Staffing assessment of call takers, dispatchers, and supervisors regarding workload
FE/Kimball team will also review current budgets and financial documents to establish a baseline of the current funding and expense models. A recommendation report will then be generated and reviewed with the County 9-1-1 Director and the ETSB. Comments will be incorporated as appropriate.”
