FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, August 7, 2017 — The Henry County, Illinois ETSB has awarded Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) a contract to provide 911 Consolidation Feasibility Consulting Services to assist with Henry County’s Enhanced 9-1-1 needs.

Mr. Jon R. Cremeens, Director of Henry County 911 said: “The ETSB is considering a potential consolidation of our PSAPs. We require the assistance of an experienced consulting firm to guide us through this process. Federal Engineering was chosen based upon their superior proposal and decades of FE/Kimball experience with similar projects.”

Ronald F. Bosco, FE’s President and CEO, provided an overview of the project: “FE/Kimball will meet with the ETSB and three PSAP Managers within the County to discuss their needs and conduct facility assessments of the communication centers. These assessments will include a review of the following:

  • Work space optimization and furniture ergonomics
  • Workload by time of day, day of week, and month of year to determine peak volumes for 9-1-1 calls and field initiated activities
  • Workload distribution of current communication centers
  • Staffing assessment of call takers, dispatchers, and supervisors regarding workload

FE/Kimball team will also review current budgets and financial documents to establish a baseline of the current funding and expense models. A recommendation report will then be generated and reviewed with the County 9-1-1 Director and the ETSB. Comments will be incorporated as appropriate.”
