Federal Engineering Selected by Dawson County for Radio System Upgrade
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, October 25, 2021 – Dawson County, Georgia has selected Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) as the County’s consultant to assist with the upcoming public safety radio system upgrade.
Major Greg Rowan, Project Manager for the County, stated: “Federal Engineering was selected through a competitive procurement process to serve as our trusted advisor based upon the firm’s technical depth and long history of successful projects. FE will assist Dawson County with the evaluation of options to upgrade the current analog VHF simulcast Motorola SmartNet radio system to a P25 compliant system. In addition, the firm will provide project management to oversee and manage the installation, implementation and testing of the new system.”
