Federal Engineering Partners with DLZ for PSAP Consulting Services in Ohio
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, September 22, 2025 – Federal Engineering Inc. (FE) announced that they have entered into a contract with DLZ Corporation (DLZ) to support the renovations of Delaware County’s 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), located near Columbus, Ohio. The DLZ/FE team was selected to assist in the design and engineering through the Schematic Design Phase for renovations of the Carnegie Building and the Emergency Communications 9-1-1 Center for Delaware County.
With more than 200,000 residents, Delaware County is comprised of three cities (Delaware, Powell and Sunbury) and portions of another three cities (Columbus, Dublin and Westerville); four villages (Ashley, Galena, Ostrander and Shawnee Hills); 18 townships (Berkshire, Berlin, Brown, Concord, Delaware, Genoa, Harlem, Kingston, Liberty, Marlboro, Orange, Oxford, Porter, Radnor, Scioto, Thompson, Trenton and Troy) and a portion of one township (Washington). Established in 1989, the Delaware County PSAP dispatches for 13 Fire Departments, Delaware County EMS, Delaware County EMA, Delaware City Police, and Powell Police. Serving all of the County’s residents, including all the cities, townships, and villages, the center answered 110,570 phone calls, 42,186 of which were 9-1-1 calls in 2024.
