State of Ohio Renews Federal Engineering Contract for NG9-1-1 Consulting Services

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, August 21, 2017 — The State of Ohio has renewed Federal Engineering, Inc.’s (FE/Kimball) contract to support the State’s Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) efforts.

Mr. Ronald F. Bosco, FE’s President and CEO, provided a vignette of the Ohio project: “Federal Engineering continues the expansion of our PSAP consulting practice. FE/Kimball will provide NG9-1-1 project consultant services to advise the State of Ohio ESInet Steering Committee on the implementation, operations, and maintenance of a statewide NG9-1-1 System.”

Mr. Bosco continued: “FE/Kimball has been supporting Ohio’s migration to NG9-1-1 for over four years. The State has accepted our work and continues to rely upon us as they move into the critical implementation phase of this project. FE/Kimball provided project management and subject matter experts to support the ESInet Steering Committee including:

  • Developed an economic and funding options study
  • Analyzed alternative system options
  • Generated an RFP for statewide NG9-1-1
  • Assisted in the assessment of vendor proposals
  • Participated in the vendor selection process

FE/Kimball also delivered a final report to the to the ESInet Committee summarizing our findings. The FE/Kimball team will continue to support the project during the next fiscal year.”
