Federal Engineering to Participate at the NENA Conference and Expo 2018

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, May 29, 2018 — Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE/Kimball) Chief Consultant Neil Horden and PSAP Technical Lead, Sherri A. Bush, ENP, are scheduled to present at the Education & Training Sessions of the 2018 NENA Conference and Expo, to be held at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee, June 16-21, 2018.

Mr. Bosco continued; “FE’s sessions include valuable topics on several of the critical issues facing PSAP managers and staff today.

Mr. Horden is presenting; Negotiation: The Art of Getting What You Want, on Wednesday, June 20 at 10:00 a.m. This session addresses the negotiation phase of the procurement process, describing the value of negotiations, the need to assemble a proper negotiation team, and the importance of setting goals for your negotiations.

Ms. Bush is presenting; Measure Twice, Cut Once: Building a Better PSAP, on Wednesday, June 20 at 10:00 a.m. This session provides an overview of many of the critical elements that go into designing and building a better PSAP. From land selection and development principles, to continuity, survivability, and the importance of planning, attendees will learn how to ensure their future building meets their long-term needs.

Mr. Neil Horden serves as Chief Consultant of Federal Engineering’s consulting practice. Neil is a 35-year veteran of the wireless communications industry and began his career with Federal Engineering in 2004. Mr. Horden is a member of NENA, and a board member of the NG9-1-1 Institute. He is also a member of, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), the Radio Club of America (RCA), and of APCO, serving on their Commercial Advisory Council. Mr. Horden serves on MissionCritical Communications magazine’s editorial advisory board. He presents regularly at NENA and APCO national and regional conferences, as well as the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE).

Ms. Sherri Bush is FE’s PSAP Technical Lead. Ms. Bush possesses extensive experience in specification and procurement support for automated systems and project management for successful implementation, PSAP management, facility design input, operations, and technology, with substantial experience in the consolidation of communications centers, staffing, and organizational assessments. Her project management experience has also included voice/data interoperability planning, ESInet and NG9-1-1 requirements definition, procurement, and implementation. Sherri is a member of NENA, previously was a 2-term chapter president, and is an Emergency Number Professional (ENP). She is also a member of the NG9-1-1 Institute and APCO.
