Baltimore County Selects Federal Engineering For Network Consulting

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, March 2, 2012 — Baltimore County, MD, has selected Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) to provide consulting for a network monitoring system as well as recommendations in software identification, implementer identification, and design of a Network Operation Center.

Mr. Ronald F. Bosco, FE’s President, provided an overview: “Federal Engineering holds a Term Contract with the County of Baltimore to provide technology consulting and technical services. Service areas under the Term Contract include:

  • Information technology management consulting
  • Radio communications systems consulting for both fixed infrastructure and subscriber units
  • Terrestrial microwave and fiber optics consulting for radio communications systems”

Mr. Bosco continued: “This project involves the design and implementation of a monitoring system for a large scale network composed of 500 nodes and over 500 users encompassing the Business Availability, Performance, Client Automation, Network Management, and Network Operations Centers. Under the current engagement, FE will assist with requirements gathering, solutions analysis, and implementation vendor identification and evaluation.”
