Federal Engineering to Present at the 2017 APCO Western Regional Conference & Exposition

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, March 20, 2017 — Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) Chief Consultant Neil Horden will present at the 2017 APCO Western Regional Conference & Exposition, to be held at the Ontario Convention Center, Ontario, California on April 10 through 13, 2017. The APCO Western Regional Conference is one of the premier Public Safety Communications events of the year.

Federal Engineering is honored to support APCO, once again, by sharing our experiences and providing information and continuing education. We are especially excited to be included in this year’s APCO Western Regional Conference in California where we have ongoing business with multiple jurisdictions”.

Mr. Horden will present an informative session entitled Negotiation; The Art of Getting What You Need, on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at 9:00 AM. During this session, he will discuss insights gained from his experience working with many public agencies in negotiating the purchase of communications systems.

Mr. Horden will also present a session entitled, 700 MHz LTE for Public Safety, Issues and Answers, on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at 1:00 PM. This session will offer up-to-date answers for many of the questions concerning the use of LTE for Public Safety communications.

Mr. Horden has over 34 years of experience in wireless communications spanning public safety, commercial, and industrial markets and diverse technologies including land mobile, broadcast, cellular, and broadband. He is a member of the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) and serves on their Commercial Advisory Council. Mr. Horden is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), and the Radio Club of America (RCA). He is a member of Project 25 Technology Interest Group (PTIG) Board of Directors and serves on MissionCritical Communications Magazine’s editorial advisory board. He also participates in National Public Safety Telecommunications (NPSTC) working groups, and presents regularly at the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) and APCO conferences.
