City of Peterborough Awards Federal Engineering Contract for NG911 Implementation

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA, March 11, 2024 – The City of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada has awarded Federal Engineering, Inc. (FE) the contract for consulting services to oversee the implementation of the City’s Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) project.

Mr. Richard Freymond, Executive Project Sponsor for the City, provided an overview: “We have worked with Federal Engineering for several years now and they understand our environment and our needs. The firm will assist with the next phase of our NG9-1-1 project:

  • Providing project management for the City of Peterborough for their overarching NG9-1-1 implementation, including vendor management and City readiness.
  • Providing advisory and technical consulting throughout the project.
  • Overseeing the vendor project plan, schedule management, and implementation/migration/cutover plans.
  • Administering system acceptance, ensuring contractual requirement for the systems are satisfied, and compliance with Canadian NG9-1-1 CRTC regulations.
